Tess Holliday has unveiled images from her sultry ’60s-themed swimsuit shoot, and the size 22 model admits she wishes she could go back and tell her teenage self that she would grow up to be living her dream.
The 32-year-old body positive model took to Instagram on Thursday to share photos from her new campaign for Alpine Butterfly, a fashionable swimsuit line made for women who are size L to 5X.
On her Instagram Story, she also posted a throwback picture taken when she was 14 and a snapshot of herself modeling a floral bikini at her recent photo shoot, writing: ‘I wish someone would have told me that I would be living my dream and even fatter but happy!’
In the throwback photo, Tess is smiling and wearing a white T-shirt while posed in front of a Christmas tree.
The following image is far more glamorous shot of Tess posing in a pink kitchen while modeling a blue two-piece featuring high-waisted bottoms.
The mother-of-two shared behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot in January, and while posting a picture of herself kneeling on a pink bed in a gingham two-piece, she wrote: ‘My first of 2018 was literally a 60’s pink dream, so basically my entire life aesthetic TBH.’
On Thursday, she announced the launch of the swimwear campaign by sharing photo of herself modeling a black one-piece featuring cutouts.
She is leaning up against pink cabinets in the photo and her head is turned over her shoulder as she gives the camera a come hither stare,
Tess, who is clearly pleased with the stunning shots, pointed out that the beautiful images make her feel even better about herself.
‘The campaign I shot for @alpinebutterflyswim launched today & has me falling in love with myself even more… feeling like a 60’s princess,’ she wrote.
Last month, while shooting the campaign, she admitted that it was great to be enjoying herself after having a difficult few months.
While sharing a close-up photo of herself sporting glamorous, ’60 inspire make-up and voluminous hair, Tess wrote: ‘After quite a long road of feeling sad/lost, it sure is nice to be doing what I love & be genuinely happy.
‘(Even tho I’m not smiling on the outside, I am on the inside!) Yesterday was magical & I might just keep posting all the photos if that’s ok? K?’
Tess often uses her social media platform to raise awareness for body positivity, LGBTQ issues, and women’s rights, and on the day of the Women’s March, she and her husband Nick Holliday honored the day by celebrating the female form.
Nick stood with those participating in the Women’s March on January 20 with a statement about respecting women — accompanied by a nude photo of his wife.
The photo shows Tess with her back to the camera and her hair tied back in a ponytail, looking over a picturesque landscape of rolling hills.
‘Women deserve respect, whether they are completely naked or covered head to toe,’ Nick wrote in the caption.
‘I’m too sick to march, so I worked on this photo we shot a few weeks ago to post today,’ he added. ‘No alterations to her body or bare face have been made.’
Tess, clearly proud of her husband’s work, shared the photo on her own page.
As for Tess’ own participation in the Women’s March, it seemed she had something more personal to attend to as she shared a tribute to her eldest son online in honor of his 12th birthday.
The model shared an image of herself with young Rylee, wearing a Disney birthday pin and a hooded sweatshirt.
‘Happy 12th Birthday to my oldest son, Rylee!’ she wrote. ‘It’s been such an honor being your mom and watching you grow into a little man.
